Peter Ebdon was in superb form today in the Championship League as he took three wins from his four matches to lead the pack at the end of day one.
Ebdon had superb wins over Barry Hawkins 3-0, Mark Williams 3-1 and Joe Swail 3-1 compiling three superb centuries along the way.
He started off the day with a 139 total clearance against Hawkins in the last frame before going on to knock in a 130 in the opening frame against Mark Williams.
His only loss of the day saw Jamie Cope knock in a 100 break against him in a 3-2 defeat but he bounced back against Swail which included a magnificent 141.
At this point all players bar Barry Hawkins are still in with a shout of the playoff's although Stuart Bingham despite breaks of 124 and 110 will have a lot to do with only one win from three.
